Massage Courses
We offer different levels and varieties of Massage Courses; so whether you are a complete beginner and want to find out more, or are looking to add to your training with a new form of Massage, hopefully there is a course for you.
Dawn mainly teaches the Introduction to Massage Course; this is because most of the students have little or no experience of massage and need to get the basics “under their belts” before moving on to the other types of massage, which require a good foundation and experience before you do.

Indian Head Massage
In Indian Head Massage or Champissage, the head, neck, shoulders and face are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels. The goal is to clear blocks in these energy channels that cause a build-up of negative energy that are purported to cause ailments. The belief is when the energy does not flow properly, negative energy builds up, causing common ailments, including stress, pain, nociception pains & aches and baldness or hair loss.
During this course you will learn about the fundamentals of the discipline, the different and possibly new massage techniques used to perform it, as well as the benefits to the person receiving it. You will also learn how to incorporate some of the techniques into your basic massages as often a seated massage is not as relaxing for the recipient as one led on a couch. You will also work on other student’s upper body and head and they will work on yours; oil is used on the head so your hair may be greasy afterwards, please ensure your hair is clean before you arrive for the day.
Requirement for this course: To have completed The Introduction to Massage Course; if you are a qualified massage therapist looking to add new skills to their portfolio, this one day course can be used as a CPD, and give you insight into the subject to help you decide if you wish to do a full qualification. If you have a portable seat/chair couch, please bring it on the day as I only have one so if the course is full we have to work on normal chairs.
